US Federal Census. 1900 Ward 7 Catahoula Parish, LA Lillie B (Onita) was only age 5 mos. born in LA. 1900, Jun 21 Ward 8, Catahoula Parish, LA HOH is Thomas H Frith (Pa Tom), a farmer age 39 born April 1861 in LA married five years to May age 20 born May 1872 in LA. Both read and write. They have 2 children. Willie age 2 born Jun 1897 in LA. Lillie O age 5 mos. born Dec 1899 in LA. Willie dies between 1910 and 1920 census. Lillie O is Lillie Onita Frith wh o I feel was named after Granny Frith's sister Lillie Watkins Bradford. There is listed a Arilissie Crooks who I found was a female Alithia J Barr married to O Bonaparte Crooks (a boat pilot) see 1870 Ward 2 , Cat Trinity, LA census. I found their marriage & correct names on ancestry.com LA Marriages. She was living with Pa Tom & Granny in the 1900 Ward 8 Cat, census. Alithia was age 57 bor n abt 1843 in LA. I don't know if she was a relation or not. The census stated she was a boarder. Granny Frith's baby 1/2 sister Bettie Watkins married a Stephen Crooks. I don't know if Alithia' s husband OB Crooks was a relation or not. 1910 Ward 8 Catahoula Parish,LA Onita (Nita) was age 11 born in LA. 1920 Ward 4, LaSalle Parish, LA does not list Onita. She and Purvis Roy Cotten had already married. [S27] Published Obituary.
