Cotten Family Bible 1900 Ward 9 Catahoula Parish, LA Edward L (Elisha Lott), a farmer, was age 47 born Jan (not Jun as on tombstone) 1853 in LA and both parents born in MS. Elisha's wife Laura A was age 42 born Oct 1857 in LA and this census shows b oth her parents were born in LA (incorrect). Children are: Oscar age 12, Butler 6, Purvis age 5, Lucy age 3 and Gene L (Genie L) age 1 all children born in LA. Children Tommy, Lonnie, Mattie and Ros a Lena were already married. Daughter Lena the baby that died at age 2 or 3 was not yet born. 1910 Ward 9, Catahoula Parish, LA HOH is Elijah L Cotten age 56 born in LA and his parents both born in MS. He has been married 36 years to wife Laura A age 53 born in LA. Her dad was born in SC and her mom was born in TN. Chidre n are Oscar M age 22, Allen B age 17, Purvis R age 15 and Lucy J age 13.
